Our impact in 2021

OneSky’s 2021 Impact Brief has just been published and, while in 2020, like most of the world, we reacted to rapidly changing environments, in 2021 we anticipated them — pivoting our programs — to ensure the children continued to be cared for, caregivers trained, and partnerships forged with government and NGOs.

Despite prolonged lockdowns across all our programs, OneSky’s incredible staff continued to deliver services to the children, families, and communities we serve — more than 40,000 children in 2021.

Thanks to their dedication and passion, we successfully transitioned our first pilot village program in China to the government, established training partnerships with NGOs in Hong Kong SAR, graduated the first cohort of parents from family skills training in Mongolia, and expanded our home-based childcare training to a fourth province in Vietnam.

ACROSS OUR PROGRAMS IN 2021 …

IN CHINA

OneSky training programs reached 22,040 caregivers, impacting the lives of 23,152 children living in China’s welfare institutions and rural villages.

IN HONG KONG, SAR

OneSky trained 1,301 caregivers, impacting the lives of 1,270 children.

IN MONGOLIA

OneSky enrolled 391 parents in family skills training, impacting the lives of 880 children.

IN VIETNAM

OneSky trained 705 home-based care providers, impacting the lives of 16,385 children including the 252 children at the OneSky Early Learning Center.

Thanks to the incredible support of our donors throughout the years, since 1998 across all our programs, we have trained 75,878 caregivers and directly impacted 274,521 children.
